Scott E. Heller, David B. King
Scott E. Heller (left) and David King were married on Monday, July 19th at Ballston Beach in Truro, Mass. Edgar Francis, a Justice of the Peace officiated.
Mr. Heller and Mr. King reside in Newfane, Vermont at Frog Meadow Farm, a 60 acre property that was featured on Boston-based NECN "New England Dreamhouses" in 2003 and Truro, Mass where they are currently renovating a 19th century homestead.
Mr. Heller, 48, is President and CEO of Communication Industries (CIC), a multi-title catalog and internet direct marketer of presentation products located in Grafton Vt. CIC was founded by his father, the late Joseph L. Heller. Mr. Heller graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. His mother, Dr. Joyce C. Heller, was a professor at Keane University of New Jersey and Albert Einstein School of Medicine in New York, and is a retired clinical psychologist who resides in Boca Raton, Florida.
Mr. King, 49, is the author of the Mountain Bike Experience and was founding director of the Mount Snow Mountain Bike School, located in West Dover, Vt. His father, the late A. Harris King, owned Running Horse Antiques in Woodbury, Conn. and the Newfane Antiques Center in Newfane, Vt. His mother, the late Anne M. King, managed the Newfane Antiques Center and authored Yankee Magazine's
Guide to Vermont & New Hampshire Antique Shops. Mr. King currently volunteers for several non-profit organizations serving the elderly and youth at risk.
The couple met in May of 1991 at Mount Snow in Vermont, where Mr. Heller was training for a triathlon and Mr. King directed Mount Snow's Mountain Bike School. On July 21, 2001, the couple was joined in Civil Union at Frog Meadow Farm.
